As a child, every day of the week had a 'feel'. I thought that everybody knew what Saturday felt like. Surely the contrast of Sunday to Monday was evident to anyone.
While everybody was smiling and lauding the person singing in church, I had to cover my ears. Why would people hum and nod when the singer was so grossly flat or sharp?
Feeling days of the week, being acutely aware of music and pitch, being able to read people, and reading the emotional content of my environement was just the start. But being a Sensitive was not widely accepted. Having the dreams that I had, and seeing visions was particularly harshed on by the church crowd that I grew up in. I soon was learning that being a left brained male was making it easier to navigate life than the right brained emotionally vulnerable sort of person.
Off I went into aviation. Boy, could I fly an airplane. When coming in for a landing, being able to 'see' how far off the ground the tires of my airplane were certainly helped make landings smooth. What was more difficult was fitting into a drinking and carousing sort of crowd during the downtimes at destinations.
Eventually, the world of aviation ate me up and spit me out. Off to the next thing. I made a big move just prior to my 30's and went back to school to become a Chiropractor.
What I didn't realize was that many of the skills that made me a great pilot were going to make me a great Chiropractor. But even more so.
With focussed attention on any living thing, there are volumes of information readily available. If a person takes the time to look for the cues and allow what's going on in a person to enter their consciousness, there is no limit on what you can see or what can be shifted.
For some reason, after 11 years in Chiropractic practice, I have gained enough insights that I want to share them. In fact, there is a rising internal need for me to share them, even if nobody listens.
So, for anyone taking the time to read this post or listen to my podcasts, I want to mention a few things:
1. I am a Fringey Vitalist.
I believe that the power resident in every living thing is incredible. That the same stuff that circulates through your body and allows you to heal from a cut or a cold can allow you to heal from any disease. I also believe that the stuff that flows through you is infinitely smarter than any medical intervention that we currently have.
2. I love Miracles.
When somebody experiences a glimpse or contact with something outside of our shadowy world, I love that. Bring on the Light. Bring on the Miracles. Bring on the stuff that our linear mechanistic society cannot explain. The weirder and more freaky, the better.
3. I love seeing People set Free.
'Freedom' is a single word that defines my Chiropractic practice. Most of us are so chained by conditioning, expectations, wounds, and habits, that we're stuck. When someone can break free of those, and rise to a new level in their life, it's a beautiful thing.
4. I have not shared much about my Internal Experience until now.
I guess it's the 'Pleaser' in me, or having been ostracised in the past for being a Sensitive. Avoiding conflict has been a way of life. Anyways, now I will talk.
I have no idea where this will go, or how long it will last. But I am answering the inner call to write, talk, and interview cool people.
Tony
